Multifamily Energy Efficiency
Ways to Save
An Ameren Missouri program representative can help determine your facility's energy-saving potential by performing a no-cost inspection and will provide a list of efficient products and services to optimize energy use. Energy-saving products installed and services provided at your facility may include:
HVAC Upgrades
Depending on your facility and existing equipment age and condition, our energy-saving experts may recommend HVAC system tune-ups and the replacement of components, including boilers, furnaces, air conditioning units, heat pumps, thermostats, chillers and packaged rooftop units.
Efficient Showerheads and Faucet Aerators
More efficient faucet aerators and showerheads improve water use efficiency and reduce demand on water heaters, saving energy. This could help your tenants save up to 700 gallons of water per year, or the amount needed for 45 showers.
ENERGY STAR® Appliances
ENERGY STAR-certified appliances use between 10% and 40% less energy than standard models, leading to significant energy savings. In addition to the energy savings, new appliances can enhance tenant comfort and satisfaction, and reduce maintenance calls.
LED Lighting
Using 80% less energy and lasting up to 25 times longer than incandescent bulbs, LEDs generate more light using less power. Efficient lights and lighting controls may be installed in resident units and common areas, helping increase your property's efficiency while making spaces brighter and safer for residents.
Building Insulation
Building shell improvements, including installing building insulation, replacing inefficient windows and adding hot water pipe insulation, may reduce load on HVAC units and reducing energy costs.
